The worst bridesmaid nightmare is when you couldn’t get the darn dress right and knowing you’d be wearing that dress walking down the aisle before the bridal couple, where the entire stadium of spectators will be looking at you looking silly before anyone else, is quite daunting.
I had a very similar issue at my best friend, Bin’s wedding where the bridesmaid dress turned out to be a complete disaster and we had to get something off the rack at the very last minute. The panicky feeling and stress is definitely something I wouldn’t want to go through again.
And yet.
I just cannot believe history is repeating itself again!
My other bestfriend, Claire is going to get married in two weeks I'm honored to be the maid of honour.
Few months ago, Claire has engaged a wedding planner to bring me to handmade our bridesmaid dress by an acclaimed tailor. We have opted for the design below, it’s a little unconventional, not too bridesmaidee looking and yet it’s trendy enough for us to wear again in the future.
However, much to our dismay the dress has turned out to be like this instead, a very far cry from the picture above!

Claire and Justin were very disappointed with the dress and they decided to scrap this and look for something else. But since they are residing in London and Cynthia (my other bridesmaid) in Melbourne, I’ll have to do the research and homework for the second dress.
Dress hunting nightmare began.
From Pavilion to Midvalley to Gardens to KLCC to BV2 to One Utama in the last few days, these are my findings, some with the help of Justin’s mother as well.
Technologies really helped though, I totally heart my blackberry which lets me to send pictures and receive feedbacks from London on the go.

Then I found one that matches most of the requirement from a local vintage boutique. They wouldn’t allow me to take pictures so I had to try my best with the sketching.
Dress 10 Finally, I found this chiffon lilac dress from Zara which matches most of our requirement! Alas, nightmare is almost over, or at least I hope.

Very sweet looking bridesmaid dress that I found in a local boutique. RM199
This looks ok, by Banana Republic (RM500)
by BCBG Maxaria (RM1099)
By Salabianca (RM399)
Looks better to make it short I guess? But hard to find a reason to wear it again in the future.
I like this day dress by Warehouse (Price unknown) but more for party wear
So in the end we got the most down to earth ZARA dress.
Finally!
Finally!
