Pilates & Yoga
To my surprise abs and hips don’t hurt as much as I’ve expected after my very first pilates class last night. Man the workout was tough though! I mean, I’ve been doing yoga regularly for a while now and is beginning to feel the difference as my body is getting stronger; there’s no better feeling than to know you can complete every pose that you previously thought was impossible.
Anyway back to Pilates. I’ve attended chi-Pilates classes before and it’s a dynamic workout on body movement. In Pilates, I learnt that breathing and concentration is very important in order to stay balanced and to make each pose possible; it is quite different than yoga. Pilates focuses on abs, hips and back and apparently after a long period of practice you’ll get a flat stomach and a dancer-like bodyline! ( now who doesn’t want that right?)
Moderation and persistence is key to any workout.

My Sister’s Keeper
I just finished reading the book “My Sister’s Keeper” late last night which totally bawled my eyes out. I’m not really good at doing reviews but this is one book I would recommend anyone to read; it’s fictional but it really makes you ponder upon the important things in life and values on family ties. How, in practice, we see morals more important than ethics and how love transcends law. I won’t spill too much here but in general, the story is about a sixteen year old girl suffering from a rare type of leukemia and her younger sister was genetically formed to be a perfect match for any donations she needed to help fight the disease.
Now I am really looking forward to watch the movie as I heard the movie ending is different from the book.

Bin’s Birthday
I went back to Ipoh during end of October for my bestfriend’s birthday. She's a 4 months preggar who has just recently surpassed her rather challenging first trimester, so the girls in hometown and I decided to bring her out for a nice dinner on her big day.
Nothing too fanciful and yet cozy enough for a fun girly night out together. We had dinner at this recommended restaurant called Citrus Cafe followed by karaoke sesh. ( both places were my first visit)
We were just drinking "ribenas" while Michelle was only allowed sky juice. :)
And oh check out the sumptous meal we had!
Happy birthday, Bin! xoxo

Terry Fox Run 2009
Today is my third year taking part in the annual Terry Fox Charity Run. It was a very humid and hot Sunday.
I like their shirt design for this year
